This month’s political-cinema screening will be Local Hero, Bill Forsyth’s 1983 film, where an oil-company executive gets dispatched to buy up a remote Scottish village on behalf of his weird boss (Burt Lancaster!) but then discovers a life beyond capitalist acquisition.

Join the Freelance Solidarity Project, a division of the National Writers Union, for our next general info session.

Also available is the option to sign up to receive updates on our work and/or meet with an FSP member one-on-one to learn about joining.

Membership in the National Writers Union and in the Freelance Solidarity Project (NWU Digital Media Division) is open not only to writers but to media workers in all areas.
